  JICA carried out media awareness event on the 04th August, 2016 in an effort to maximize visibility of JICA activities in Rwanda. The specific aim of the media awareness event was to publicize the work of JICA Rwanda activities and to enhance collaboration with media houses. • ABE 3rd Batch

  Since 2013, JICA launched the African Business Education Initiative for youth (ABE) as one of the core commitments in TICAD V in Yokohama, Japan in 2013 providing 1,000 youths in Africa with opportunities to study at Japanese universities as well as experience internships at Japanese enterprises to foster human resource development for Africa. • Kayonza rusumo road loan signing

  On July 13th 2016, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Chief Representative, Mr. Hiroyuki Takada) signed a loan agreement with MINECOFIN Minister Claver Gatete to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 6.889 billion yen (around 68 million USD) for assistance for the Kayonza- Rusumo road improvement project. Alongside the Exchange of Notes were signed by the Ambassador of Japan Takayuki Miyashita and Amb. Claver Gatete.
